The rules for using Urjio’s app, website and coaching. Effective 3 November 2026 · Version 1.0
1. About these Terms
1.1 These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Urjio mobile application, website at www.urjio.com and related services (together, the “Services”). The Services are provided by Urjio Health Innovations Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office in Thane, Maharashtra, India (“Urjio”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
1.2 By creating an account, tapping “I agree”, or using the Services, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1.3 These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, including the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. They do not need a physical or digital signature.
1.4 “You” means the individual using the Services. If you access Urjio through your employer or another organisation, that organisation’s agreement with us may add terms; if it conflicts with these Terms on your use of the app, these Terms apply to you.
2. Urjio is a wellness coach, not a doctor
2.1 Urjio helps you understand your health reports and build healthier habits. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or prescriptions, and it is not a substitute for a qualified doctor. Nothing in the Services creates a doctor–patient relationship.
2.2 AI-generated content. Insights, summaries, trends and habit suggestions are produced partly by artificial intelligence. They may be incomplete, outdated or wrong, and they depend on the accuracy of the reports and information you provide. Always check with your doctor before acting on anything that affects a medical condition, medication, pregnancy, or a significant change in diet or exercise.
2.3 Human coaches. Coaches who call you back offer general wellness and lifestyle guidance. Unless clearly stated otherwise, they are not registered medical practitioners and will not diagnose, prescribe or change your medication.
2.4 Lab values and reference ranges. Reference ranges differ between laboratories, ages and conditions. A value flagged as normal or abnormal in Urjio is a guide, not a clinical judgement.
2.5 Not for emergencies. Do not use Urjio for urgent or emergency situations. If you have chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of a stroke or any other emergency, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital immediately.
2.6 You remain responsible for your own health decisions.
3. Your account and how you may use Urjio
3.1 Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. The Services are intended for users in India.
3.2 Your account. You agree to give accurate details, including your name and mobile number, and to keep them up to date. Keep your login and OTPs private. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us at support@urjio.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
3.3 Your own data only. Upload only health reports and information about yourself, or about another adult who has given you clear permission to do so.
3.4 You must not:
upload content that is false, belongs to someone else without consent, or is obscene, defamatory, hateful or otherwise unlawful
impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or health information
use the Services to harm, harass or abuse coaches, staff or other users
copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or resell any part of the Services, or use them to build a competing product
introduce viruses or malicious code, or try to gain unauthorised access to our systems
use the Services in any way that violates applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Intermediary Rules, 2021
3.5 We may remove content or suspend access that breaches this section, and we may report unlawful activity to authorities where the law requires.
4. What the Services include
4.1 Health reports. You can upload diagnostic reports (for example blood tests from labs). Urjio reads markers from them and tracks those markers across reports over time. Extraction is automated and may misread values; please check key numbers against the original report.
4.2 Plan and habits. Urjio may suggest habits based on your reports, goals and routine. Follow them at your own discretion and stop any activity that causes pain, dizziness or discomfort.
4.3 Coach call-back. You can request a call from a human coach. To do so, your profile must include a working phone number, and you agree that we may call you on it. Calls are currently offered in English and Hindi. Call-back timing depends on coach availability and is not guaranteed. We may record calls for quality and training only after telling you at the start of the call.
4.4 Partner labs and employers. Some features may be offered with diagnostic labs or employers. We do not control their services and are not responsible for their reports, prices or conduct. We will not share your individual health data with your employer without your explicit consent; any reporting to employers will be aggregated and de-identified.
4.5 Beta and changes. Some features may be labelled beta or early access and may change, break or be withdrawn. We may add, change or remove features at any time, and will try to give reasonable notice of material changes.
5. Fees, subscriptions and refunds
5.1 Some or all of the Services may be free during beta. Where we charge, prices are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable GST unless stated otherwise.
5.2 Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. Recurring payments follow RBI rules on e-mandates, including pre-debit notification. You can cancel at any time from Profile > Subscription or through the app store you paid with; cancellation stops future renewals.
5.3 Refunds. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play follow their refund policies.
5.4 We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. A change applies from your next billing period.
6. Your data, our content and third parties
6.1 Privacy. We process your personal data, including health information, as described in our Privacy Policy and in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We do not sell your personal data. You may withdraw consent, access, correct or erase your data, and nominate a person to exercise your rights, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
6.2 Your content. You own the reports and information you upload. You give Urjio a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and display it only to provide and improve the Services for you, and as permitted by the Privacy Policy. We will use your data to train or improve AI models only in de-identified form, or with your separate consent.
6.3 Our content. The Urjio name, logo, app, software, designs and text are owned by Urjio or its licensors and are protected by Indian intellectual property law. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial use.
6.4 Feedback. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.
6.5 Third-party services. The Services may rely on or link to third parties such as app stores, payment gateways, cloud and AI providers, and labs. Their terms govern your use of their services, and we are not responsible for them.
7. Liability, ending your use, and disputes
7.1 No warranties. The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any health outcome will follow from using them.
7.2 Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows, Urjio is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the Services. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or INR 1,000 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
7.3 Indemnity. You agree to compensate Urjio for losses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or content you upload without the right to do so.
7.4 Ending your use. You can stop using Urjio and delete your account at any time from Profile > Delete account or by writing to support@urjio.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Services; where practical we will give notice. Sections 2, 6.2–6.4 and 7 survive termination.
7.5 Governing law and disputes. These Terms are governed by the laws of India. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue informally within 30 days. If it is not resolved, disputes will be referred to a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in Mumbai, conducted in English. Subject to this, courts at Mumbai have exclusive jurisdiction. This does not affect your right to approach a consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
7.6 Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. We will notify you in the app or by email before material changes take effect. Continuing to use the Services after that means you accept the updated Terms.
7.7 General. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
7.8 Grievance Officer and contact. In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Intermediary Rules, 2021, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the DPDP Act, 2023, our Grievance Officer is:
Name: Ajinkya Deshmukh, Grievance Officer
Company: Urjio Health Innovations Private Limited, Thane, Maharashtra, India
Email: support@urjio.com
We will acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days of receipt.
